What is Spiritual Warfare?

What is spiritual warfare? Spiritual warfare is a supernatural attack. There are things we can not see with our human eyes and can not explain with our human brains. Time is running out. We are in the last days as prophecy continues to be fulfilled leading to the great tribulation and eventually the return of Jesus Christ. Satan has been attacking people since the beginning. There is nothing new under the sun. There is a very real battle going on to lead people away from God. Scripture states that heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people. Jesus gave us power over Satan and his followers, his people, his forces and his army.
Ephesians 6:12- “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
It is important for you to remember that the closer we get to our father and the closer we follow our Savior in daily life, the more the attacks will occur. You might not recognize them all at first but they will likely come. Why is this? Christ warned us about the troubles that will come but also to know that we can be victorious through Him and His power where it counts. So be watchful, don't get discouraged and above all remember that you should feel some comfort and joy to the fact that Satan doesn't waste his time attacking those who are his... he wants those that he can't quite reach, those that truly believe and walk in the light of God, those that do not break and will not leave their Father, those who live their life as Jesus taught us to live. If Satan is attacking then you are on the right track, so chin up, invoke the Holy Spirit and prepare for battle.
