When Satan is Kicked Out of Heaven: The Role of the Anti-Christ
November 27th 2011 11:02
When people think of Satan, they usually picture a red character with a long tail, horns and a pitch fork to stoke the fire of hell. This is exactly how Satan wants you to think of him. If you read through scripture you will know that this couldn't be further from the truth. First of all, hell doesn't exist yet. Satan and the angels that followed him are locked in heaven until they are cast out (Revelation 12) and allowed to test mankind one last time, this is called the tribulation.
This is what we know from prophecy regarding Satan's character:
(he will be)
• beautiful like Christ
• generously giving people what they want
• spreading the “peace” message and stopping all wars
• performing great “miracles”
Remember his role is to deceive all people into thinking he is the Lord Jesus. So what you think Jesus would be like is what Satan plans to be in order to deceive. It wouldn't be very hard to point out a gross looking creature with horns and fangs. Remember that the horns on him are symbolic of the powers he will have such as the nations that stand with him, the one world government etc. The entire world will follow him.
Do you see how we have progressed as a people? Celebrities, sports stars, singers, etc. are followed, worshiped and put on pedestals. All of this idolatrous behavior has paved the way for Satan's coming. Those who desire these fleshly things, will embrace him rather than the true Christ. Because Satan and his angels will be supernatural and beautiful, you can imagine the following they will have.
The bottom line is that he will be here to fool the people into thinking he is Christ. He can't do that if he comes in as a monster killing all in his path.
