Who is Satan and Why Does He Hate Us?

A very brief overview:
Satan was once a beautiful angel. But he became overcome with conceit and vanity. When God made mankind and showed us so much love and compassion Satan became jealous and began to loathe us. This turned to anger toward God for creating us as we were inferior to the angels. Many still loved us because our Father loved us, but Satan would not accept anyone stealing his attention, especially lowly humans. Therefore he gathered a few angels that also didn’t understand why God loved us so much and they tried to fight Him. God cast them out.
It has been Satan’s main goal to see us put through pain and torment, to see us fail and ultimately to use us to break our Father’s heart. The more people Satan can get to hurt or offend God the happier he becomes. In his mind this shows God that he never should have loved such creatures.
