Why Are We Here?
January 15th 2012 12:16
We were created for one reason, to give God pleasure. This is the entire reason we even exist. There is no other purpose that we have. But love has to be true. He made us to truly love Him and if we choose not to He will cast us into the lake of fire where we will perish instead of live forever. Now, some people may think that is just so horrible, but it is actually more than fair. Let's take it down to a practical level that we can relate to. Let's say you created a sign to direct a specific action and it did not work, in fact it only confused people and they did the opposite of what you wanted them to do. Would you keep that sign or would you get rid of it and keep only the signs that worked?
The idea that this is not fair is an absurd notion. If God was “fair” He could have destroyed all who rebelled and joined Satan in the first earth age. But, He didn't. He wanted to give everyone the chance to love Him and experience both good and evil so they make their decision as to whether they wished to be erased or live eternally. Each person knows full well what is right and wrong -they have free will as to which one they embrace.
