Why We Celebrate Easter
May 3rd 2009 01:56
Although Easter has passed, I thought I would write this special post for all those that do not understand why we celebrate Easter and would like to learn.
Let’s start with the reading of Luke 24 then Matthew 28, and perhaps, if you have time, the movie Passion of the Christ.
Easter is also widely known as Resurrection Day. Regardless of the term you use, it all means the same thing. It is a celebration of the day that Jesus Christ beat death. He came back to prove He was the Son of God and He had fulfilled prophecy. It is also the celebration of knowing that He will return one day.
