Wicked Ways and Worldly People
June 16th 2008 23:17
The bible talks a lot about what is acceptable behavior and what is considered wicked and sin ridden. Although it is very clear and concise people still tend to make every excuse for their actions. But with this justification as to why we act the way we do it only serves to show who we ‘work for.’ There are no ‘gray’ areas in the way we are supposed to live our lives as Christians. Eve though some of us pretend that there are… this is lie and we are perpetrating it.
1 Corinthians chapter 6 flat out discloses exactly what we Christians are NOT supposed to be. This world is marred by sexual immorality and when we practice it we are turning from God and living as we deem best which is NOT according to His will.
If we say that we are God fearing, that we love God, that we are Christians and that we follow Christ in our walk then we MUST act accordingly. This is what the bible (according to the passage noted above) lists as wicked behavior:
• Fornicators (sex outside of wedlock/marriage)
• Idolaters
• Adulterers (those having any sexual relations with anyone other than their spouse)
• Homosexuals (gay and lesbian relationships)
• Sodomites
• Thieves
• Covetous
• Drunkards
• Revilers
• Extortionists

Romans 6 : 12 - 13
Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Also in Romans chapter 6 : 16
Know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness.
T.B.T. people think they can live anyway, and do anything they want and still be a Christian. Jesus told them if you love me keep my commandments. In another place he told us to be perfect as our heavenly father is perfect. We can't be perfect if sin still reigns in us.
I do enjoy your posts, because I love God, and his word.
